Extending The Services

The new Self-Access Centre will be an extension of Pusat Rujukan Sumber. Hopefully students will have more contact hours using computers in school.

However there are a lot to be done for the extended centre.

Manual for the Centre

PRS is situated on the second floor of the main building of SMK Seksyen 9, Shah Alam. There are murals that imply the concept of the centre. This is the Manual for using PRS and what can be expected from the centre.

Centre for Learning

PRS or Pusat Rujukan Sumber is created and developed for teachers, staff and students of SMK Seksyen 9, Shah Alam. The Centre emphasizes lifelong learning. The motto is:

"NO INDIVIDUAL IS LEFT BEHIND"

as to encourage learning at anytime, anywhere and anyhow.

In this centre, teachers and students are encouraged to carry out activities for classroom learning or outside classroom learning. The centre was first started in 2004 led by the PRS coordinator.

Activities carried out are focused on Project-based teaching and learning. Among others are journalism, basic e-learning, Teaching-Aids Sharing Session and projects that involve the use of ICT.
